All Past Mistakes Are Correctable, While This Government's Mistakes Are Irreversible - Arthur Vanetsyan
We are not fighting against the opposition; our fight is solely to remove Nikol Pashinyan. This was stated today by Arthur Vanetsyan, the prime ministerial candidate of the ‘Honorary Right’ alliance, in an interview with Petros Ghazaryan.
“We cannot consider this a normal election, given the situation prevailing in the country, but people will cast their votes for this or that political force on June 20. I am convinced that the ‘Honorary Right’ alliance has a great chance of forming a government and winning these elections. And we are definitely heading towards our goal of winning,” he said.
The reporter referred to Vanetsyan’s earlier statement that there will be no return to the past, referring to the Republican Party of Armenia (RPA), and asked what has changed since Vanetsyan is forming an alliance with the RPA. “When people say ‘the past,’ they do not only remember corruption and fraudulent elections; they remember a secure environment. They recall a predictable country, a person who has a future in this country, and they know what will happen tomorrow. As for the bad habits that were present in the past, that has also been addressed by President Serzh Sargsyan, key figures of the RPA have talked about it, acknowledging that there were indeed bad habits, customs, and traditions during their tenure,” he noted.
“But there is a very important point here: all the past mistakes can be corrected, while the mistakes made by this government are irreversible. What this government has done cannot be undone; we cannot reclaim a lost part of our homeland, we cannot restore our security system, our fallen, martyr heroes cannot be returned, nor can we restore the time when all Armenians fought as one against the external enemy,” he stated.
According to Vanetsyan, they are coming to power and are ready to take responsibility and restore the people's faith in the future, saying they will do everything to prevent threats to the country's borders.
