Video: Tornado in China Claims Lives and Injures Many

In Shanchzi city, Heilongjiang province, northeast China, a tornado struck yesterday, resulting in at least one death and 16 injuries.

The Chinese CGTN channel reports that all the affected individuals have received medical assistance, with one in critical condition.

According to reports, the severe weather event raged from 5:30 PM to 6:00 PM local time, accompanied by strong gusts of wind and hail.

As of now, at least 148 homes, agricultural lands, and factories have been reported damaged. A total of 243 residents of Shanchzi have been displaced due to the natural disaster, with local authorities estimating the damage at 5.12 million yuan (over 802 thousand dollars).
