Video: The High-Profile Murder on Abovyan Street Revealed
A murder occurred on June 2 in the center of the capital. A man shot Hovhannes Vardanyan in the head near a "Toyota" with foreign plates on Abovyan Street. The 50-year-old man, who was a resident of the province, died at the scene. Operational and investigative groups, forensic experts, and forensic doctors arrived at the site. A bullet casing was discovered during the examination of the crime scene. A criminal case was initiated in the regional investigative department.
Police from various units conducted extensive operational and investigative measures, initially determining that the person who committed the murder had actually intended to shoot at the man accompanying Hovhannes Vardanyan. The operational and investigative measures continued. It was necessary to find out when and from where the perpetrator had come to Abovyan Street, as well as where he had gone after the incident, which was accomplished in a short time.
It soon became clear that he had come to Abovyan Street via Kogbatsi Street. He had waited on Abovyan Street for his victim, and after shooting, he fled to Northern Avenue, from where he took a taxi to Halabyan Street. There, he disposed of the instrument of the crime and the sportswear he wore during the incident. As a result of operational and investigative measures carried out on the same day, a "Makarov" pistol, loaded with bullets, and the sportswear were found in one of the trash cans on Halabyan Street.
It was also discovered that the man had taken another taxi from Halabyan Street to Talin, where he purchased clothing from one of the shops. The drivers of the taxis that transported him were identified within a short time, and they reported that the suspect had a Slavic appearance and spoke Russian.
Through extensive and varied operational measures, his identity was established: Alexander Buzmarev, a 23-year-old foreign citizen. Actions aimed at locating and presenting the suspect to the investigation are ongoing.
