Turkey's Support Will Make the Georgia-Azerbaijan-Armenia Platform More Effective, Says David Zalkaliani

“There is a good experience of cooperation in the Turkey-Georgia-Azerbaijan trilateral format,” stated Vice Prime Minister and Foreign Minister of Georgia, David Zalkaliani. He noted that projects such as Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan, Baku-Tbilisi-Erzurum, Baku-Tbilisi-Kars, and the Southern Gas Corridor have been implemented within the framework of this trilateral format. “The Southern Gas Corridor is one of the most successful and strategically important projects. We need to raise the attractiveness of the region through such projects. These projects serve as a foundation for the successful implementation of initiatives within the Georgia-Azerbaijan-Armenia trilateral format,” he said.

The Foreign Minister emphasized that Turkey supports Tbilisi’s initiative to present the dialogue platform of the three South Caucasian countries. “This is very important, and I believe that Turkey's support will make this platform even more effective,” he added.
