Georgia's Interior Ministry Uncovers International Drug Crime, Suspect Obtained Drugs from Armenia
A 20-year-old woman has been arrested in Georgia on charges of illegally acquiring and possessing drugs, according to the Interior Ministry, as reported by Armenpress.
According to the investigation, the arrested woman received the drugs from Armenia for further distribution. The central criminal police department of the Georgian Interior Ministry, the Armenian State Revenue Committee, and the U.S. Department of Justice's Drug Enforcement Administration conducted an international monitoring supply of drugs.
During a search of the suspect, police seized substances including Alpha-PVP, mephedrone, and a mockup of Alpha-PVP as material evidence. A criminal case has been initiated under the article concerning the illegal manufacture, production, acquisition, storage, transportation, delivery, or sale of drugs, their analogs, or new psychoactive substances, which is punishable by up to six years of imprisonment.
