Chaos in the System: Marukyan on Scandal Surrounding Murders and Corpses

The leader of the "Enlightened Armenia" party and head of the same parliamentary group, Edmon Marukyan, stated today during a conversation with journalists at the National Assembly that the state governing bodies of Armenia are in chaos, and the state system has effectively ceased to function. The consequences of this chaos are evident in several high-profile murder cases.

“We see that the state system is not functioning. This is manifested differently in various sectors. In healthcare, it is the story of the corpses of fallen soldiers, while in law enforcement, it is the daylight murder in the center of Yerevan,” said Marukyan.

According to him, on the eve of snap elections, state structures and officials have adopted a wait-and-see approach. They are waiting for the election results to understand what they should do next. In such conditions of confusion and inaction, anything can happen, including murders.

Earlier, we reported that gunshots were heard in the center of Yerevan, in front of the "Moscow" cinema, resulting in the death of a man. At the scene, a "Toyota Land Cruiser" with Russian license plates belonging to the victim was found, alongside another "Toyota Land Cruiser" with Russian license plates.
