VIDEO: Attempted Murder with Firearm in Norq-Marash - 61-Year-Old Man Shot at by His Brother's 36-Year-Old Son
On May 24, an ambulance team transported a resident of 6th street in Norq-Marash to the number 1 university hospital. This was reported by the Police.
At 5:45 PM, the hospital informed the Central Police Department that a 61-year-old man had been diagnosed with gunshot wounds to the chest and abdomen. Operational investigative teams and forensic experts who arrived at the scene examined the area, discovering blood-like traces, glass shards, and more.
The criminal investigation officers of the Marash division, in collaboration with staff from other police departments, clarified several circumstances of the incident. Preliminary data indicated that around 5 PM, during a dispute that arose in the yard of one of the houses on 6th street in Norq-Marash, the 61-year-old man was shot at by his brother's 36-year-old son.
Simultaneously with the measures to locate him, explanatory work was carried out, which led to the 36-year-old man presenting himself to the Central Police Department on May 26. He was then taken to the territorial investigative department and arrested. He has been charged, and pre-trial detention has been selected as a measure of restraint.
A number of examinations have been appointed. Efforts are underway to locate the firearm used in the crime. The preliminary investigation of the criminal case, which was initiated on signs of attempted murder, is ongoing.
