Kosh Penitentiary Officers Prevent Unique Drug Smuggling Attempt

The officers of the Kosh penitentiary facility of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Armenia conducted an inspection on May 31 at around 5:20 PM on a package brought in by citizen M. T. for inmate R. M.

According to the public relations department of the Armenian Penitentiary Service, the inspection revealed two strips allegedly soaked in narcotics hidden inside a tissue box. These strips are used to penetrate the skin or inject liquid obtained by boiling the strips in water.

Materials are being prepared regarding the incident, and a forensic chemical examination has been appointed.
