Urgent: Azerbaijanis Open Targeted Fire Towards Civilian, Injured

In the Martuni region of Artsakh, Azerbaijanis have opened targeted fire towards a civilian. The news has been reported by Artsakhpress.

The shots were directed at a tractor driver who was working behind the positions near the village of Sos. The citizen sustained injuries, but not from gunfire; rather, from the shattered glass of the tractor's windshield. The enemy ceased firing only after the intervention of Russian peacekeepers.

Currently, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Artsakh has not confirmed the information.

It is reminded that on September 27, 2020, Azerbaijan, with the support of Turkey, launched a large-scale military assault along the entire length of the Artsakh-Azerbaijani border. On November 9, 2020, the President of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Putin, the Prime Minister of Armenia, Nikol Pashinyan, and the President of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, issued a joint statement regarding the cessation of hostilities.

According to the trilateral statement, a contingent of Russian peacekeepers, comprising 1,960 military personnel, equipped with infantry weapons, 90 armored vehicles, and 380 units of automotive and special equipment, was deployed along the contact line in Nagorno-Karabakh and the Lachin corridor.
