Documents Being Prepared Regarding Mihran Poghosyan's Submission of a Fake Certificate, Deputy Police Chief
Former head of the State Revenue Committee and a member of the "Honorary Status" alliance, Mihran Poghosyan, is facing scrutiny for submitting a fake certificate. This was stated by Deputy Police Chief Ara Fidanian during a conversation with journalists today, June 1.
"This individual has studied for a certain period at one of the universities in the Russian Federation, which, according to the law, allows for that time period to be considered equivalent to the duration of stay in Armenia. I cannot specify what exactly has been falsified, because when we inquired from the relevant university, we received information that the second certificate was simply not provided. We need to present a certificate that would show that there is no delay of 22 days. Materials are being prepared on the grounds of apparent document forgery," he noted.
In response to a journalist's comment that Poghosyan is included in the "Honorary Status" alliance and questioning how the Central Electoral Commission registered him if the certificate is fake, Fidanian stated: "The first certificate that was submitted was considered lawful according to that university, and the court had obliged the Passport and Visa Department to issue the certificate."
