Stabbing at Beer House: 25-Year-Old Charged
The Investigative Committee of Armenia's Ararat region has reported that as a result of investigative and other procedural actions carried out in the criminal case under review in the Masis investigative division, it has been established that on May 16, 2021, at approximately 23:30, during a dispute that arose over personal matters in the backyard of a beer house located on Yerevan Street in Masis city, a 25-year-old man inflicted knife wounds on the waist area of a resident of the same city, causing bodily harm.
The young man voluntarily presented himself to the law enforcement authorities and handed over the knife that was used as the instrument of the crime. A scene inspection was conducted, during which blood-like traces were found and confiscated, clothing was seized, and several individuals were interviewed.
Based on a sufficient combination of evidence, the 25-year-old has been charged under Article 112, part 1 of the RA Criminal Code. A measure of restraint in the form of a personal guarantee not to flee has been chosen against him. The pre-trial investigation is ongoing.
