Heads of NSS, Special Investigative Service, and Police Conducted Meeting with Chief Prosecutor
Today, Chief Prosecutor Artur Davtyan held a meeting with the Director of the National Security Service Armen Abazyan, Police Chief Vahe Ghazaryan, Deputy Head of the Special Investigative Service Vladimir Hovhannisyan, and members of the working group established in the Prosecutor's Office. The discussion focused on ensuring the legality of the parliamentary snap elections scheduled for June 20, 2021, preventing potential electoral violations, and organizing the joint criminal-legal efforts of law enforcement agencies against such offenses. The Prosecutor's Office reported this.
Artur Davtyan, who also serves as the head of the working group at the Prosecutor's Office, emphasized the crucial significance of these elections for the country in the current situation. He added that it is the responsibility of each law enforcement agency to perform its duties with utmost accountability, ensuring the conduct of legal, transparent elections that allow for the free expression of each citizen's will through operational cooperation.
The Chief Prosecutor clearly and thoroughly identified the key targets for the neutralization of potential electoral crimes and the accountability of the individuals committing such offenses, directing the joint efforts of law enforcement toward these goals.
