Nissan Murano Crashes into Electric Pole Near Shangri-La Casino, Two Dead

On May 30, a serious and tragic car accident occurred in the Kotayk province. At approximately 04:40, a Nissan Murano with license plate 36 VG 124 veered off the road while traveling on the Yerevan-Sevan highway at the 13th kilometer mark, crashing into an iron electric pole in front of the Shangri-La casino. The vehicle partially ended up in the dividing lane and the opposite lane.

According to photojournalist Gagik Shamshyan, who reported from the scene, two individuals died on the spot, and another person was transported to the Abovyan Medical Center with injuries. The car was twisted into a mass of scrap metal, split in half, and the gas cylinder was thrown out; the deceased were found outside the vehicle.

The police and the investigative department are working to determine the identities of the driver, the deceased, and the injured.
