Firefighting Operations at Masis City Landfill Temporarily Suspended

Rescue teams from the Fire and Rescue Department of Yerevan and regional departments have been conducting firefighting operations and standby duty for seven days at the landfill in Masis City. Today, on May 28, at 10:58 AM, two firefighting units were deployed to the scene to continue the firefighting efforts. However, the operations have been temporarily suspended, and standby duty is currently being carried out.

It is important to note that on May 22, the Ararat Regional Crisis Management Center received information about a fire breaking out at the Masis City landfill, necessitating the assistance of firefighters for effective containment.
