Vagharshak Harutyunyan is on an Important Mission in Moscow, Will Return and Open Certain Gaps if Appropriate: Kocharyan
The acting Minister of Defense of Armenia, Vagharshak Harutyunyan, is on an important mission in Moscow. This was stated by Andranik Kocharyan, the chairman of the National Assembly's Standing Committee on Defense and Security, during a conversation with journalists in the National Assembly.
"The acting Minister of Defense has gone to Moscow this morning for a very important mission within the framework of our military-political cooperation," Kocharyan said. He noted that the minister will return and will open certain gaps if he finds it appropriate.
Kocharyan himself returned from Moscow this morning, where he participated in a meeting of the CSTO Parliamentary Assembly's committee on defense and security and presented a report on the situation in the Caucasus.
"Our assessments have been quite strict regarding the CSTO's inertia. The CSTO is what it is today. But the CSTO has the capability, and our current realities and situations dictate that the structures of the CSTO address the issues before them and emerge from this state of inertia to become more viable and solution-oriented," he said.
