Driver Who Struck Citizen Leading to Death and Fled Arrested

On May 25, at 20:40, a driver of an unknown make of vehicle struck 40-year-old Erik Gabrielyan on Khandjian Street in Yerevan and fled the scene. The police report states that Erik Gabrielyan was transported to the hospital with bodily injuries, where he later succumbed to his injuries.

It was found that the incident was caused by a 25-year-old driver of a Nissan vehicle, who, after an explanatory effort from the authorities, reported to the Marash police department, provided a confessional explanation, and was subsequently arrested. An investigation is underway.
