The Volume of Charges Against Arush Arushanyan Has Been Reduced

The volume of charges against Goris Mayor Arush Arushanyan has been reduced. His lawyer, Armen Melkonyan, informed NEWS.am about this today, May 26.

He stated that the charge under Article 225, part 1 (mass disturbances) of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Armenia has been dismissed, while no charges were brought under Article 133 (illegal deprivation of liberty).

“They called him in to ensure that no criminal prosecution would be carried out under one of the articles, while the other was dismissed,” he mentioned.

It has also become known that Arushanyan has been summoned to the Investigative Committee again tomorrow.

Recall that Arushanyan is facing charges under Article 308, part 1, point 1 of part 3 of Article 38-188, part 2 of Article 38-291, part 2 of Article 34-322, points 3 and 6 of part 2 of Article 113, and part 1 of Article 34-2251 as a defendant.
