Criminal Case Initiated Following Stabbing Incident Involving Two Individuals

The Malatya police department received a report regarding a 43-year-old man who was transported to medical assistance with a stab wound to the abdomen. During the initial investigation, it was found that a 58-year-old woman with a similar stab wound had also been admitted to the same medical facility.

In response to the incident, a criminal case has been opened by the Malatya-Sebastia investigative unit of the Yerevan City Investigative Department under the first part of Article 112 of the RA Criminal Code (intentional infliction of severe harm to health).

During the pre-trial investigation, the aforementioned individuals have been recognized as victims, and their clothing has been seized. An on-site examination has been conducted, along with interrogations and the appointment of a forensic medical examination.

Measures are being taken to clarify all the circumstances of the case and to identify the individuals responsible for the alleged crime. The investigation is ongoing.
