Shooting in Yerevan: 27-Year-Old Young Man Hospitalized with Gunshot Wounds

Today, on May 25, gunshots were heard in Yerevan. At approximately 19:20, the "Shengavit" medical center alerted the Shengavit police department that a citizen had been admitted with gunshot wounds.

According to shamshyan.com, doctors at the hospital informed the police that the injured individual is unable to provide explanations about the incident.

The police in Shengavit traced the incident and identified the victim as 27-year-old Hovsep D., a resident of Yerevan. They also discovered that he was transferred to the hospital from the yard of building 21 on Bagratuniats Side Street 4.

Investigators found a BMW 320i with license plate 13 DD 331 in the yard of the mentioned building, which showed signs of gunfire, and blood-like traces were found inside the vehicle.

Based on these facts, a criminal case has been opened at the Shengavit investigative unit by Senior Investigator Levon Antanoyan under the provisions of articles 34-104 and 235, part 1. Investigators are currently examining the scene, working alongside forensic experts from the police forensic department.
