Aivazyan Presented the Situation at the Armenian-Azerbaijani Border to the Austrian Foreign Minister
On May 25, acting Foreign Minister Ara Aivazyan had a telephone conversation with Austrian Foreign Minister Alexander Schallenberg. This was reported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Armenia.
The key topic of the conversation was the situation arising from the incursion of Azerbaijani armed forces into Armenian sovereign territory. The acting Foreign Minister provided detailed information on the latest developments in the area, reaffirming Armenia's principled position that Azerbaijani armed forces should be withdrawn immediately and unconditionally from Armenian sovereign territory.
Both sides emphasized the necessity of maintaining regional stability and security. In this context, the importance of comprehensive resolution of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict and addressing humanitarian issues that have arisen as a result of the war and require urgent solutions was also highlighted.
They exchanged views on several issues of the bilateral agenda and stressed the mutual commitment to actively enhance political dialogue, including through contacts at various levels.
