Azerbaijan's Defense Ministry Denies Connection to Armenian Soldier's Death

The Azerbaijan Defense Ministry stated that there were no shots fired at the border with Armenia. According to Sputnik AZ, the ministry has refuted claims regarding an armed incident at the border.

The statement from the Azerbaijani authorities indicates that at noon, seven Armenian servicemen attempted to advance towards the border. Preventive measures undertaken by the Azerbaijani armed forces successfully halted their movement; however, they assert that no shots were fired.

The Azerbaijani Defense Ministry describes the death of the Armenian soldier as the result of an unfortunate accident. “This incident has no connection with the Azerbaijani side,” they stated.
