Armenia Will Not Discuss 'Corridor' Logic, Says Mher Grigoryan
Acting Vice Prime Minister Mher Grigoryan has received a delegation led by Mohammad Eslamian, the Minister of Roads and Urban Development of Iran. The Iranian Ambassador to Armenia, Abbas Badakhshan Zohuri, was also present at the meeting.
Welcoming the guests, the acting vice prime minister emphasized the importance of developing relations with friendly Iran, particularly addressing the potential expansion of collaboration in the infrastructure sector.
The Iranian minister, expressing gratitude for the reception, reported on the outcomes of the meetings held during his visit to Armenia and noted that Iran is always ready to support Armenia.
The participants discussed the existing prerequisites for expanding trade relations, including the significant potential for cooperation within the framework of the EAEU.
The parties also addressed issues related to infrastructure development, the activation of free economic zones, and potential cooperation in the road construction sector. In this context, the acting vice prime minister stressed that the construction of the North-South highway is one of the priorities in infrastructure development.
During the meeting, Mher Grigoryan reiterated that Armenia has not discussed and will not discuss issues based on 'corridor' logic concerning the ongoing efforts for regional transport unblocking.
