28-Year-Old Driver Dies After Being Hospitalized Due to Major Car Accident

On May 23, Hrant Matevosyan, a 28-year-old resident of Kapan, passed away in the hospital. He had been transferred to the Kapan Medical Center on May 19 after suffering bodily injuries from a serious car accident, according to Shamshyan.com.

The accident occurred in the Syunik region on May 19. Around 10:50 PM, 28-year-old Hrant Matevosyan, driving a Toyota Platz, lost control on Gortsaranayin Street in Kapan, veering into the opposite lane and crashing into the steps of the 'Domus' shopping center located at 1/7. The vehicle overturned as a result of the impact.

As a result of the accident, driver H. Matevosyan and passengers from Kapan, 18-year-old Gurgen Ghazaryan, 21-year-old Ara Zakaryan, and 18-year-old Yuri Patvakanian, were hospitalized with various injuries at the Kapan Medical Center.
