The Deputy Speaker presented his assessments of the current domestic political developments of the state ahead of the upcoming extraordinary elections.
According to the statement, the parties emphasized the importance of Russia's efforts to return peaceful life to Nagorno-Karabakh, as well as to stabilize the situation at the Armenian-Azerbaijani border within the framework of friendly obligations. They underlined the mutual interest in quickly resolving border incidents through political and diplomatic means.
Both parties acknowledged that the establishment of conditions for long-term peace and stability in the South Caucasus serves the interests of both Armenia and Russia.
