More than 1400 Palestinians have been injured following clashes with Israeli police forces on the Western Bank of the Jordan River, according to the Palestinian Red Crescent Society, as reported by TASS.

“Our teams have received 1434 injured individuals today from Jerusalem and the West Bank. 182 have sustained gunshot wounds, 195 from rubber bullets fired by police, 931 due to the use of tear gas and stun grenades, and 20 Palestinians have received various degrees of burns,” the statement reads.

Earlier, the Palestinian Ministry of Health reported that 4 Palestinians had been killed in clashes with Israeli forces. It is noted that since the onset of the clashes last week between Palestinians and Israelis, the death toll on the Palestinian side has reached 212, including 61 children and 34 women, while around 1500 Palestinians have been injured. On the Israeli side, the death toll stands at 10, including 2 children.

Unrest in Jerusalem began on May 7. Clashes erupted between Arab youths and police on the evening of May 8, subsequently spreading to the area surrounding the Temple Mount and the Al-Aqsa Mosque. Tensions peaked on May 10, coinciding with the celebration of Jerusalem Day by Israelis. The Israeli army has stated that it has eliminated key figures in Hamas intelligence, including the head of Hamas’s military intelligence security department and his deputy.
