What is the Situation in Artsakh? Auroranews Speaks with the Artsakh Security Council

Social media and the press continue to circulate reports that the Azerbaijani side has advanced its positions in Artsakh. It is also noted that Azerbaijanis entered the village of Charektar in Artsakh, held festivities, leaving behind Azerbaijani confectioneries at a gazebo, while gunfire was heard in the positions of the village of Shosh the day before.

Auroranews contacted Tigran Atanesyan, the head of the media department of the Artsakh Security Council. Addressing the rumors, he stated: “There is no such thing. There have been no gunshots, no clashes. Nothing special has happened.”

Atanesyan assured that the relevant structures of Artsakh, including through close cooperation with the command of the peacekeeping forces, fully control the ceasefire conditions present in the Republic of Artsakh and the current configuration of the contact line, continuously ensuring a proper security environment for the population.
