What Is Required to Enter Armenia: Updated List
The Armenian Ministry of Foreign Affairs has clarified that a change has occurred in the procedures for entering Armenia related to COVID-19. The ministry reports that according to the amendment to the government decision No. 1514-N of September 11, 2020, effective from May 17, 2021, the following must be presented upon entry into the territory of the Republic of Armenia:
1. A negative result certificate of the PCR test for coronavirus disease, no older than 72 hours, or a certificate confirming complete vaccination against COVID-19 (two doses), with the second dose administered at least 14 days before the entry into the country.
2. A negative test or vaccination certificate is not required for children under 1 year old.
3. For individuals arriving in the Republic of Armenia from the territory of the Russian Federation, the certificate (information) can be submitted via the mobile application “Путешествую без COVID-19”.
4. Entry to Armenia for foreigners continues to remain open both by air and land routes.
5. Quarantine in the territory of the Republic of Armenia remains in effect until July 11, 2021, due to the coronavirus disease (COVID-19). For those registered in the ARMED system, the vaccination certificate can be submitted via the ArmedeHealth mobile application. The individual can present the vaccination certificate either through the mobile application or as a printed version exported from the application, protected by a QR code.
Individuals without a certificate are subject to sampling at the airport or at land border crossing points and are required to self-isolate until a negative result from the PCR test is obtained. Based on the examination results, hospitalization will be applied if there are corresponding symptoms. For those who do not present a negative test or vaccination certificate, and refuse sampling or testing, a 14-calendar-day isolation will be imposed. The costs related to the PCR test are to be borne by the citizen.
