Three Arrested in Attack on Armenian Cleric in Jerusalem

The Armenian Patriarchate of Jerusalem strongly condemns the attack on Reverend Arbak Abgh. Sarukhanyan of the Brotherhood of St. James by a group of young Jewish men along the route to the Church of the Holy Resurrection.

"Father Arbak sustained physical injuries. He was immediately taken to the hospital and after receiving necessary treatment, was discharged. The Patriarchate has officially lodged a complaint with the police, after which three of the attackers have been arrested. Our demand is for the police to conduct a fair investigation, and that the perpetrators are punished according to the law to prevent such incidents in the future," the statement from the Patriarchate reads.
