The Enemy Has Not Only Failed to Retreat from Kut, But Has Also Made Advances in the Last Two Days, Says Mayor

Azerbaijani soldiers have not retreated in the direction of the village of Kut. Hakob Avetyan, the head of the Geghamasar enlarged community, stated in an interview with Factsinfo that the enemy had neither advanced nor retreated following their progress yesterday.

“I believe there should be no advance; we must be able to defend ourselves. We must firmly hold our borders, and only then will there be no advances. We understand that our small country is at war with powerful Turkey and Azerbaijan, whose armies surpass ours several times,” Avetyan said, assuring that despite this, the residents of the border villages, from young to old, are ready to fight alongside the army.

The mayor expressed hope that the issue would be resolved through negotiations and that we would remain free from military clashes.

It should be noted that the Ministry of Defense announced yesterday that several groups of Azerbaijani armed forces representatives had returned to their initial positions, without specifying in which areas they had retreated. In any case, the enemy has not only not retreated in the direction of Kut but has made advances in the last two days, specifically from May 16-17.
