Mercedes Crashes into ГАЗель, Causing Pedestrian Accident Involving 4 People

Today, on May 18, a major traffic accident involving a collision and a pedestrian incident occurred in Yerevan. At approximately 19:10, Gevorg Khloyan, a 28-year-old resident of Gavar, crashed his Mercedes vehicle into the rear of a parked ГАЗель truck that was in a damaged condition on the road while heading from Saralanj to Azatutyun Boulevard.

According to Shamshyan.com, as a result of the collision, the ГАЗель was propelled forward and struck four pedestrians, subsequently crashing into another Mercedes vehicle.

Officials from the traffic police, including Senior Inspector Levon Babayan and Gevorg Shaghoyan from the 7th platoon of the 1st police battalion, arrived at the scene promptly. The injured pedestrians received immediate assistance from bystanders and medical personnel from the Yerevan 1-03 emergency services team, who provided first aid on-site before transporting them to the number 1 university hospital.

Emergency services from the Ministry of Emergency Situations also rushed to the scene to disconnect the vehicles from the electricity supply and perform road cleaning operations.

The police are currently investigating the identities of the drivers and the injured individuals. The photojournalist reports that the truck was loaded with a gravestone and, due to a malfunction, encountered issues. When the front Mercedes stopped to assist the ГАЗель, G. Khloyan crashed into the rear of the ГАЗель.
