Large Smuggling Attempt of Cigarettes Foiled at Armenian-Georgian Border

A large batch of smuggled cigarettes attempting to be imported into Georgia through the Armenian border checkpoint of “Sadakhlo” has been intercepted.

According to News-Georgia, citing the Georgian Ministry of Finance's Tax Service, the batch of excise cigarettes was discovered during inspections of a truck with Ukrainian license plates. The total customs value of the undeclared goods was 230,000 lari (approximately 68,000 US dollars).
