Enemy Advances its Positions in Various Directions, Including Shahumyan and Martakert - 'Factinfo'

The enemy is advancing its positions in various directions. This was stated in an interview with 'Factinfo' by Metakse Hakobyan, a member of the Artsakh National Assembly from the 'Justice' faction, noting that there is no official information on this issue.

According to her, the advancement has occurred not just in one direction, but in various directions, and this has been happening for quite some time, not only yesterday. She conveyed that as incursions began in Syunik, similar actions are also taking place in Artsakh.

'According to my information, Russian peacekeepers are managing to send Azerbaijanis back to their starting positions. They are advancing a few hundred meters, and if they move several kilometers forward, they will reach Stepanakert. They are advancing from Shahumyan and Martakert areas, there is no specific direction from where they are coming, and they are moving from there. Moreover, the movement of their columns has increased significantly, they travel back and forth several times a day. Their movement can already be seen from Stepanakert. This means that the goal set by the Armenian Prime Minister, which is to come to terms and live alongside the enemy, has been realized,' said Hakobyan.

The deputy noted that this advancement by the enemy is causing panic among the people. 'If such news is spreading, even if false, it creates confusion in Artsakh. And in this situation, when the authorities remain silent, it is unacceptable because some information should be provided to the people,' she emphasized, adding that the enemy's advancement in both Armenia and Artsakh is interconnected.

'It was previously said that Artsakh is the guarantor of Armenia's security; today this has been proven. If Karvachar is under Azerbaijani control, Gegharkunik is at risk; if Kashatagh is at risk, so is Syunik. Artsakh was the backbone of Armenia, and today, considering that a significant part of Artsakh is under the enemy's control, Armenia's security is endangered,' noted Metakse Hakobyan, adding, 'Now the authorities of Armenia are negotiating with the Azerbaijanis. I do not understand what they can negotiate about in this situation. If there are to be negotiations, it should only be about returning our prisoners of war and regaining control of Karvachar, Shahumyan, and the Kashatagh region. This means that the enemy has entered the territory of a sovereign state, and the authorities are conducting negotiations. I am confident that as a result of these negotiations, they might agree to surrender the road to the Red Market to the enemy.'
