Demonstrating Victory with Gestures: How Azerbaijanis Disturb Residents of Red Market
There has been no issue with road blockages; a few individuals simply wanted to alert peacekeepers to strengthen their control, ensuring that Azerbaijanis do not film, display gestures, and that the traffic of vehicle convoys is regulated. This was stated by Narek Atoyan, the head of the Red Market community, in an interview with NEWS.am, addressing concerns raised by residents regarding the passage of an enemy vehicle convoy through the Red Market area.
"The vehicle convoy creates a problem for incoming traffic; they merely warned that control should be intensified to avoid overtaking and to prevent accidents. This is the first such incident; there were just a lot of people. As a result, they concluded that additional warnings would be given to them not to film with their phones, not to display gestures, and not to violate traffic rules. They are showing with gestures that they have won; it is not about insults," said the head of the Red Market community.
It is worth mentioning that Metyakse Hakobyan, a member of the Artsakh National Assembly's 'Justice' faction, stated in an interview with us that there is such a long line of freight trucks going from the Red Market area to Shushi that it takes hours for them to pass, and today the residents tried to prevent this. "The residents were very determined and decided to do this every day until a solution is found. They say, 'Why can Azerbaijanis pass through our territories today, while we cannot go to the Republic of Armenia, for example, via Karvachar?'" she remarked.
