Weapon Trader David Galstyan, Known as 'Patron Davo', Released
The court has just announced its decision regarding the criminal case of weapons trader David Galstyan, also known as 'Patron Davo', stating that the Appeals Court has granted the defense's appeal against his detention, leading to his release.
It is recalled that the National Security Service of Armenia reported that David Galstyan, the chairman of the foreign-registered 'Mosston Engineering' company, in agreement with the company's director A.B., supplied defective shells of howitzers produced between 1983 and 1986 to the Ministry of Defense in 2018. According to the NSS, these shells failed to resolve combat challenges, yet Galstyan received $1,083,000 in return.
David Galstyan was arrested on February 1 and was detained on February 2.
