The Adversary Is Attempting to Infiltrate Our Territory in Various Ways, and Our Army Must Be Prepared: Seyran Ohanyan

Creating a security zone in the area of Lake Sevan is not a solution to the issue; we will again be forced to play the game set by the Turks and Azerbaijanis. This was stated by former Minister of Defense, Lieutenant General Seyran Ohanyan, in an interview with 'Factinfo'.

'If the establishment of a security zone in the area of Lake Sevan is at the expense of Armenian territory, this is very bad for the Armenian side; it means that the adversary is trying to infiltrate our territory in various ways, aiming to narrow down the Republic of Armenia's borders and create a corridor from Nakhchivan to the main territory of Azerbaijan. This cannot be a solution to the issue; we will again be forced to play the game set by the Turks and Azerbaijanis,' said Seyran Ohanyan.

The former Minister of Defense sees two solutions in the given situation: the Armenian side should try to resolve the issue within the framework of the CSTO and also through negotiations with Russia. 'Our army must also be prepared to defend our territories and remove the adversary from our land,' said Seyran Ohanyan.
