Pashinyan Holds Phone Conversation with Belarusian President Lukashenko, Who Expresses Willingness to Act
The Acting Prime Minister of Armenia, Nikol Pashinyan, held a phone conversation with Alexander Lukashenko, President of the Republic of Belarus, a member of the Collective Security Treaty Organization.
Pashinyan briefed his counterpart on the recent developments along the Armenian-Azerbaijani border. He noted that the Azerbaijani side, by violating all norms of international law, has breached the border and invaded the sovereign territory of the Republic of Armenia.
The Acting Prime Minister emphasized the need for the issue to be properly discussed within the framework of the CSTO and for coordinating the positions of CSTO partner countries regarding the events that have transpired.
President Lukashenko expressed concern about the current situation and expressed his willingness to take efforts aimed at peacefully resolving the situation.
