VIDEO. Azerbaijani Armed Forces Positioned Equal to or Ahead of Us in Certain Areas, MP

I cannot say anything optimistic, as the Azerbaijani armed forces have breached our positions without any armed attack or a single shot fired. They have made advancements and remain in their positions. The Armenian Armed Forces are waiting for some negotiations, regarding which I have no optimism. This was stated by independent MP Taguhi Tovmasyan during a live broadcast on Auroranews, addressing the recent advancements made by Azerbaijani armed forces in the border areas of Vardenis and Sisian.

"It turns out that we no longer have the previous security zone; we are in quite close proximity to the Azerbaijani armed forces, and in certain positions, they have positioned themselves equal to or ahead of us, and they are not retreating in any way. This is an encroachment on the sovereign territory of the Republic of Armenia," said the MP, who has left the 'My Step' faction.

Tovmasyan noted that some borders of Armenia are currently under the control of the Azerbaijani armed forces, which means Armenia must take firm measures, yet nothing has been done so far.

It is noteworthy that yesterday, on May 13, the Azerbaijani armed forces once again carried out provocations against the sovereign territory of the Republic of Armenia under the pretext of “border clarification,” trying to secure positional advancement in the border regions of Vardenis and Sisian. In both cases, the advancement was halted due to the actions of the Armenian armed forces, and a demand has been made for the Azerbaijani side to immediately leave the area and return to their original positions.
