One-Year-Old Child Transferred to St. Astvatsamayr Medical Center by Air Ambulance from Syunik
A one-year-old child has been transferred to the St. Astvatsamayr Medical Center by air ambulance from the Syunik region, suffering from a severe convulsive syndrome and high fever, reported the hospital's spokesperson Gevorg Derzyan.
According to Derzyan, the child was first admitted to the Meghri Medical Center, received initial medical assistance, and was then airlifted to Yerevan. The current condition of the child is assessed as moderate.
Thanks to the air ambulance, the child was successfully transported to Yerevan in 2.5 hours, whereas under normal circumstances, it would have taken 16 hours. This timely transfer allowed the doctors at St. Astvatsamayr Medical Center to quickly initiate treatment and save another life, Derzyan stated.
