Agents of Azerbaijan's Information Warfare Operating in Armenia, Says PM
During a Security Council meeting chaired by Acting Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, he addressed the presence of "pro-Azerbaijani forces" operating in Armenia. He emphasized, "Despite my calls to refrain from politicizing the current situation, there are indeed forces that are actively engaging in pro-Azerbaijani activities behind the scenes. It is well known that any military-political resistance or struggle is accompanied by information warfare, and it is now evident to me that agents of Azerbaijan's information warfare are operating within the Republic of Armenia. I could even name them. These individuals invited the President of Azerbaijan in 2020 to attack the Republic of Armenia, showing locations from which an invasion could occur before these events transpired. They are now spreading Azerbaijan's propaganda narratives among the public in Armenia and essentially suggesting what negotiation positions Azerbaijan should adopt to favor their political struggle," Pashinyan stated. He expressed that all of this cannot be coincidental and that a calm investigation is necessary to understand what is happening.
