How International Museum Day Will Be Celebrated in Armenia

The Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports of Armenia invites everyone to join the celebration of International Museum Day on May 18. Since 1977, the international community has recognized May 18 as International Museum Day at the suggestion of the International Council of Museums (ICOM), with the aim of uniting museums and highlighting their role as educational, cultural, and recreational centers for society.

Museums are vital centers of our culture, education, and development, where our historical memory is preserved and presented, along with evidence of significant events, facts, and our national identity. May 18 serves as a timely opportunity to emphasize the role of museums as places for enriching knowledge, recognizing real values, and inspiring creativity while bringing imaginative ideas to life.
