What Events Will Take Place in Stepanakert on May 8-9
On May 8 at 18:00, a commemoration ceremony / memorial service will be held in the churches of the capital and regions of Artsakh to honor the heroes killed during the Artsakh Liberation War. Following this, a procession will take place from the Holy Mother of God Church in Stepanakert to the memorial complex, under the guidance of the guardian of the Armenian Army, Ashot Yerkat, and the patron Saint Gregory's Cross of the Artsakh Defense Army.
This information was shared during a press conference by the Minister of Education, Science, Culture, and Sports of the Republic of Artsakh, Lusine Ghahakyan.
It was also mentioned that on May 9 at 11:00, a Divine Liturgy will be held at the Holy Mother of God Church in Stepanakert, and a national prayer will be performed.
Moreover, Minister Lusine Ghahakyan announced that on the same day, various cultural events will be organized in the capital and all regions of the republic. Specifically, from 12:00 to 15:00, several activities including the "Naghash" program, poetry recitals, exhibitions, and other events will take place in Stepan Shahumyan Park in the capital, while in the regions, poetry recitals, essay contests, and other programs centered around patriotic themes for schoolchildren and youth will be organized.
