What Do Today's Leaders Understand Under the Phrase of the Republic of Armenia's State Border? Tevan Poghosyan

The advisor to the President of Armenia and former MP Tevan Poghosyan wrote on his Facebook page:

“If we didn't have a paralyzed state, then the relevant state institutions would implement the measures provided by law against any border violators and arrest all violators. I don't know exactly how many would be arrested, one, ten, a hundred, several hundred, but we would form a stock that would expedite the return of our guys who are in captivity. At least, everyone would take responsibility proportional to what we would have taken.”

“If such a situation had occurred, say, in December or January, I could still understand some other explanation, but to be this unprepared six months later... I am sorry, it is a crime against the state and the nation, against the country.”

“I simply think that we have a destroyed state and... the inability to be prepared for situations speaks precisely about the fact that we have no current national agenda, otherwise, there would be sovereignty, a future...”

“We lost six more months, and there was a need for a grassroots ethical demand for political responsibility — to resign and leave.”
