The Situation Around the Black Lake and Nearby Areas is Explosive: Pashinyan

For the second consecutive day, the situation around the Black Lake in the Syunik region and nearby areas is explosive. The reason is that certain groups of Azerbaijani armed forces have crossed the state border of Armenia and carried out actions aimed at encircling the Black Lake. The Armed Forces of Armenia have conducted tactical counteractions. As a result of these tactical counteractions, Azerbaijani forces positioned in adjacent areas have withdrawn from the positions they occupied.

No instances of the use of firearms or other weapons have been recorded by representatives of either the Armenian or Azerbaijani armed forces. However, approximately 250 representatives of the Azerbaijani armed forces are currently still inside our state borders in certain areas of Syunik and Gegharkunik regions.
