Putin Refuses to Meet Kocharyan: Visit Fails
According to information received by Civic.am, former Armenian President Robert Kocharyan's pre-election visit to Moscow has failed. Kocharyan initially requested a meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin but received a sharp refusal from him. Following this, Kocharyan also asked to meet with Putin's chief of staff Anton Vaino and was again turned down.
As a result, he was left with no choice but to hold meetings related to his business with partners and to familiarize himself with the progress of ongoing affairs. Kocharyan's lawyer Hayk Alumyann has stated that they had applied to the court for permission to be absent from the country.
