Every Day of the Current Administration's Tenure Increases Risks Facing Armenia and Artsakh: Republican Party Executive Body
Every day of the current administration's tenure increases the risks facing Armenia and Artsakh, and collectively the Armenian people. This is stated in the Republican Party's executive body’s extensive statement.
"The Republican Party’s Executive Body expresses its concern regarding the situation surrounding Syunik, specifically regarding the illegal crossing of Azerbaijani troops at the state border and their advance 3.5 kilometers deep into the territory near Lake Sev," the statement said.
The executive body notes that these events have unfolded due to the criminal inaction of Armenia’s capitulatory authorities, incorrect assessment of the situation, and the profound crisis in public governance and security systems, as well as the disastrous outcomes of the latest war in Artsakh.
It should also be noted that these incidents regarding the violation of Armenia's territorial integrity carry risks of escalation, and the ruling authorities have not taken necessary steps to prevent or mitigate them.
As a result, Azerbaijan is expanding the toolkit of pressures it applies against Armenia, preparing favorable ground to expect new concessions from the Armenian side and to present new demands.
The current incompetent administration does not possess the internal or external tools needed to maintain Armenia’s territorial integrity and restore the sovereignty of the state.
The executive body also states that every day of the current administration’s rule increases the threats facing Armenia and Artsakh, and collectively the Armenian people,” the statement concludes.
