European and American Airlines Cancel Flights to Israel

European and American airlines have canceled flights to Israel amid escalating conflict between Palestinians and Israelis. British Airways, Virgin Atlantic, and Iberia have canceled their flights to Tel Aviv, according to Reuters.

“The safety of our partners and customers is always our top priority, and we continue to closely monitor the situation,” stated British Airways.

On Wednesday evening, British Virgin Atlantic canceled its flight and noted it is assessing the execution of Thursday's flight.

The Spanish airline Iberia and the German airline Lufthansa followed suit.

Wizz Air announced that it has postponed flights from Abu Dhabi to Tel Aviv from Thursday to Friday.

Emirates’ Flydubai carrier has confirmed that it continues to operate daily flights from Dubai to Tel Aviv.

Yesterday, United Airlines, Delta Air Lines, and American Airlines canceled flights between the United States and Tel Aviv.

Virgin Atlantic had earlier this week announced a 250% increase in bookings to Israel after the UK declared that Israel was included in the “green list” for overseas travel during the COVID-19 pandemic.
