Putin and Erdogan Hold Phone Conversation to Discuss Escalation in Jerusalem
Russian President Vladimir Putin and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan discussed the situation in East Jerusalem over the phone. The leaders expressed their serious concern regarding the rise in clashes and fatalities, as reported by the Kremlin's press service.
“A substantial exchange of opinions took place concerning the escalation in East Jerusalem. Serious concern was raised regarding the ongoing clashes and the increasing number of casualties and injuries. Vladimir Putin and Recep Tayyip Erdogan urged the parties involved to de-escalate tensions and resolve the emerging issues peacefully,” the statement read.
