Instagram and Facebook Remove Bayraktar's Posts for Spreading Hate Speech
Instagram and Facebook have removed posts by Selçuk Bayraktar, the technical director of the drone manufacturing company 'Baykar Savunma' and son-in-law of President Erdoğan, that condemned Jews. The social networks justified their actions by stating that Bayraktar was spreading hate speech.
Bayraktar announced this on Twitter, where he referred to the singing and dancing of Jews gathered outside the walls of the Old City during a fire near the Al-Aqsa Mosque in Jerusalem as acts of hatred, savagery, and slaughter.
“May the hypocrisy of your so-called freedom of thought and human rights be destroyed,” added Bayraktar.
It is worth noting that nearly all high-ranking officials and opposition leaders in Turkey have criticized Israel's actions with harsh rhetoric amid clashes with Palestinian Arabs.
