Hamas Announces Death of Combat Wing Leader Due to Israeli Strikes
The Hamas movement controlling the Gaza Strip has announced that one of its leaders has been killed as a result of Israeli airstrikes, TASS reports.
"We announce the death of Bassem Issa, who was one of the commanders of the Izz ad-Din al-Qassam brigade and was responsible for Gaza," the movement stated, as reported by the Palestinian radio station Dunya Al Watan.
According to local media sources, Issa has been the highest-ranking Hamas leader killed since 2014.
