Gegharkunik Regional Administration Issues Statement Regarding Enemy Advancements

The news about enemy advancements in the Gegharkunik region is not accurate.

On May 12, various media outlets reported that the enemy had strengthened its positions in certain areas of the Vardenis region. In response, the Gegharkunik Regional Administration has issued a statement.

It has been confirmed that the aforementioned information does not correspond to reality. Currently, the adversary is working in areas that came under its control following the November 9, 2020 agreement, where it had been unable to establish positions due to weather conditions several months earlier. The suspicious areas that have emerged during the adversary's positioning are being clarified by representatives of the Armed Forces of Armenia.

We assure that the situation is fully under the control of the Armenian Armed Forces. We kindly request and urge the public not to panic and to follow only official information.
